Accessibility Statement

1. Statement of Intent

EBI Motion Controls s.r.l. recognises digital accessibility as an essential element in ensuring an inclusive, clear and user-friendly browsing experience for the broadest possible number of users, regardless of their individual abilities or the technologies they use.

The company is committed to progressively improving the accessibility of the website ebimc.com by adopting technical and organisational solutions based on the principles set out in Italian Law No. 4 of 9 January 2004, the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA and the UNI CEI EN 301549 standard. The company also takes into account the principles introduced by Directive (EU) 2019/882, known as the European Accessibility Act, transposed into Italian law through Legislative Decree No. 82 of 27 May 2022.

This statement describes the accessibility status of the website ebimc.com, any currently known limitations, the monitoring and continuous improvement activities implemented by EBI Motion Controls s.r.l., and the methods through which users may report accessibility issues or request assistance relating to digital accessibility.

2. Compliance Status

The website ebimc.com is partially compliant with the requirements set out in the UNI CEI EN 301549 standard and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA due to the non-compliance issues listed below.

The identified issues do not prevent users from accessing the website’s main content, but may limit the use of specific features through assistive technologies.

The accessibility assessment was carried out through an audit conducted on 07/05/2026, including automated analyses and manual checks performed using assistive technologies, such as keyboard-only navigation, the VoiceOver screen reader on macOS and iOS, and NVDA on Windows.

The checks were conducted in accordance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA criteria established by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).

3. Non-accessible Content

The content listed below is not accessible due to non-compliance with Italian Law No. 4 of 9 January 2004. The description is provided in non-technical language, with reference to the WCAG 2.1 AA criteria that are not currently met.

3.1 Non-compliance with Applicable Legislation

Some non-compliance issues have been identified in relation to the requirements set out in the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA and the UNI CEI EN 301549 standard. These issues may limit the use of specific website features through assistive technologies.

In particular, the identified issues concern:

Navigation on mobile devices (WCAG criterion 4.1.2 — Name, Role, Value).
The button used to open the navigation menu, displayed in the header of every page on mobile devices, does not have an accessible label for assistive technologies. As a result, users who rely on screen readers are unable to identify its function and access the website’s main menu.

Company logo (WCAG criterion 1.1.1 — Non-text Content).
The company logo displayed on the homepage does not include descriptive alternative text. As a result, the identity of the service provider is not communicated to users who rely on screen readers.

Privacy Policy document (WCAG criterion 1.3.1 — Info and Relationships).
The numbered sections of the Privacy Policy document are visually structured as headings but are not semantically marked up as such. Users who rely on screen readers cannot navigate the document using dedicated features, such as the VoiceOver rotor or the NVDA elements list, and are therefore required to read the content sequentially.

Embedded YouTube video on the Company page (WCAG criterion 4.1.2 — Name, Role, Value).
The company presentation video, embedded on the Company page through a YouTube player, does not include a label describing its content to users who rely on screen readers.

Colour contrast in the partner plan comparison sections (WCAG criterion 1.4.3 — Contrast Minimum).
On the Contacts and Become a Partner pages, the features listed as unavailable under the different partnership plans are displayed in a light grey colour that does not ensure sufficient contrast against the white background. Readability may therefore be reduced for users with visual impairments, colour perception disorders or those browsing in bright-light conditions.

Colour contrast on product pages (WCAG criterion 1.4.3 — Contrast Minimum).
The category label overlaid on the main image of each product page is displayed in white. Its contrast varies depending on the underlying portion of the image and is not always sufficient.

Heading hierarchy (WCAG criterion 1.3.1 — Info and Relationships).
On the Become a Partner and News pages, the heading hierarchy contains discontinuities: the level of secondary headings does not follow the expected progression, affecting content navigation through the exploration tools used by screen readers.

Landmark structure (WCAG criterion 1.3.1 — Info and Relationships).
Some content blocks, particularly the call-to-action sections displayed at the bottom of several pages and the reCAPTCHA anti-spam widget, are not included within the semantic regions, or landmarks, of the page. This reduces navigation efficiency for users who rely on screen-reader landmark navigation features.

3.2 Disproportionate Burden

No cases of non-compliance due to disproportionate burden are currently declared pursuant to Article 3-ter of Italian Law No. 4 of 9 January 2004.

3.3 Third-party Components

The website uses certain components and services provided by third parties, including the YouTube video player embedded on the website pages. The accessibility features of these components are not fully controllable by the service provider.

Nevertheless, EBI Motion Controls s.r.l. is committed to adopting, wherever possible, improvement measures and compensatory solutions aimed at ensuring the highest possible level of accessibility, including the provision of text alternatives for audiovisual content where appropriate.

4. Preparation of the Accessibility Statement

This statement was prepared on 28/05/2026. The assessment methodology involved a combination of automated analyses using scanning tools, including Google Lighthouse, and manual testing with assistive technologies, specifically:

  • complete keyboard-only navigation of the website, including checks on the tab order and the visibility of the focus indicator;
  • testing with the VoiceOver screen reader on macOS and iOS;
  • testing with the NVDA screen reader on Windows.

The analysis was conducted on a representative sample of website pages, including the homepage, corporate pages, product pages, the editorial section, legal pages and the 404 error page.

Technical documentation relating to the website’s accessibility testing and monitoring activities is retained by the service provider.

This statement will be reviewed annually and whenever substantial changes to the website — whether structural, functional, technological or layout-related — may affect compliance with accessibility requirements.

5. Feedback Mechanism and Contact Details of the Service Provider

EBI Motion Controls s.r.l. considers accessibility to be a continuous improvement process and pays particular attention to reports and suggestions from users aimed at improving the usability of the website ebimc.com.
